Creativity has always been part of my life. Growing up in the heart of Stroud, I have seen a range of innovations from the historical wool trade to the local businesses that sell at the markets.

I feel my design style is inspired by heritage and contemporary styles to create lifestyle designs. I pride myself on the quality I put into my work and always trying to go above a beyond what is asked of me.

I have considered sustainability in all aspects of my design;  thought the fabrics I use to the techniques I use to improve the longevity of products.  

​

 

The main theme of my study this year has been around the Gloucestershire wool industry. I felt that there was a large part of my hometown history that I didn’t know about and wanted to uncover. 

​

 

My dissertation focused on An Evaluation of the Stroud Cloth Industry’s Changing Success over Time and its Place in the Modern Textile Industry. to gather information, I visited Dunkirk mill and spoke directly to WSP Textiles. 

​

 

This was the starting point for my design project. A womenswear winter collection called OSETTE suited to older women.
